We hope you're happy with your new leather sofa. As it's made from bonded leather, there are some simple measures you can take to prolong the life of the leather. Look at the steps below to ensure you get the best wear out of your sofa,

1. WIPE DOWN BONDED LEATHER WEEKLY

Using a soft, dry cloth, wipe your bonded leather furniture down weekly. By doing this you're removing dust which can scratch your furniture over time.

2. WET CLEAN REGULARLY WITH A LEATHER CLEANER

Once you're done wiping down your sofa, you can give it a wet clean too if necessary. This will remove the last of the dust. For this step just dampen a clean cloth with a small amount of water and some leather cleaner. Gently swipe the leather to get the best effects. Using a small amount of water is important as it prevents you from saturating the leather. After this is done, give it one more run over with a bit of clean dry fabric, which will wipe up any excess water.

3. CONDITION THE LEATHER IF IT IS ABSORBENT

From time to time, bonded leather should be conditioned in order to for it to remain smooth and supple. When you decide to treat your bonded leather with leather cleaner, a small amount of the leather conditioner should be poured onto a lint-free cloth and then rubbed gently into the leather. Create a thin, even coat. One tip is to use a paint brush as an applicator, or even your hands. Pay special attention to the areas where the leather sees the most wear, including any place where it is touched regularly. Also remember to drop to the floor and see whether the furniture might have been kicked or scuffed by careless feet.

4. TREAT SPILLS ON BONDED LEATHER QUICKLY

Make sure that you clean up any stains immediately with a cloth. Use soft Blotting motions until you cannot bring up any more of the stain; do not scrub as that can make the stain soak in. In many cases, you can simply blot the stains until they come up completely. Remember that the shorter the amount of time the stain stays on the leather, the easier it will be to remove.
